What people are saying about VIlla San Lorenzo

  • “The villa is straight out of a movie scene! Our group of 12 stayed there for 5 days and we were enchanted by the magic of this Tuscany house. The property more than exceeded  our expectation from its description. The rooms & beds were very comfortable, the ensuite bathrooms very convenient and the kitchen was fully equipped (kitchen utilities, dinnerware etc)! Location is very quiet and picturesque. Great place for big families or large groups. It is very spacious, allowing you to comfortably spend time together or enjoy a more personal time alone."

  • "Villa San Lorenzo - beautiful, perfect villa with outstanding amenities, stunning views, and a helpful, friendly staff. Our host was incredibly accommodating and attentive to all our needs. The host provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and towns to visit near the villa. She also arranged for a fabulous cooking class in the Villa with a local chef. The Villa is spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The kitchen is incredible and the most well-stocked kitchen in any house I have ever rented. The bedrooms are all lovely, warm, decorated beautifully, and have great views. All the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms which is a unique feature. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and truly appreciated the majestic countryside. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. I would highly recommend Villa San Lorenzo!! Thank you for an incredible and memorable experience!"

  • “This villa is located in the heart of Italy, right on the border between Toscana and Umbria. If you want to see the best of these regions, this house is the place. It’s not just a house or a villa. This estate has 10 spacious bedrooms that are very well designed, and the kitchen has all you might need. The pool is amazing, but the best part is the view. The sunset is so beautiful that all you can think about is the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun”, which was shot in nearby Cortona. It’s a great getaway, to stay in a calm, pretty and extremely clean villa. Villa San Lorenzo is greatly located between Florence and Rome. The region is famous with its little villages around and great wine. Highly recommended."

  • “Our group of family and friends really enjoyed the villa this summer. It was hard to get the kids to leave the huge pool and go on a day trip to Cortona or a dinner in Montepulciano. The property is huge and very private and the villa is equipped with everything you need for a large gathering. We’ll definitely be back! ."

  • “My daughter and I spent 5 days in Villa San Lorenzo. The house is in the middle of wheat fields, beautiful walnut trees and is close to a beautiful lake. Stunning nature all around, it feels remote and at the same time, everything you need is 15 min away by car - train station, grocery stores, pharmacy.  We shared the house with a few friends and their children. The kids had a blast at the pool. The kitchen has everything you may need and the whole house is designed beautifully, every bedroom has its bathroom and a desk. Comfortable and cool leaving room to hide from the heat during the day. I would highly recommend this house for a big group of friends or for different kinds of workshops and events."

  • “ The Vila is spacious and would be perfect for a big group of people who would like to explore Italy countryside. The pool provides extra entertainment for the kids while you can prepare dinner . The kitchen is well equipped and allows you to cook for a big party. There is literally everything you need for a short term or extended stay. I highly recommend this property."

  • "Villa San Lorenzo went far beyond our expectations during our trip to the countryside of Italy. There we were able to enjoy the quiet surrounding landscapes and spectacular views while we relaxed by the pool. In addition to the many amenities that the villa had to offer, we were also able to tour the surrounding area and dine at several amazing restaurants and even tour a wine vineyard that was just a short drive away."

  • "Our stay at Caseverdi’s Villa San Lorenzo was incredible! The property was so accommodating, well appointed with features and amenities, and the views were lovely from every angle. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket & fresh flowers, and the hosts even helped us coordinate an amazing cooking class & 4-course lunch with a local chef, right in the villa! We would definitely return."

• "My family had the opportunity to visit Italy this summer for special vacation and take our teenage son and daughter for their first visit to Europe! Our initial stay was in the province Perugia Umbria located close to the the border of Tuscany. It is approximately an hour and a half drive from Florence. The countryside is incredibly beautiful as are the people! We stayed at the beautiful, gated Villa San Lorenzo, in the city of Castiglione del Lago. The villa is very impressive! It’s  incredibly gorgeous decor, spacious rooms and views from all windows make this work beautifully!  The villa has 8 large beautiful bedrooms with bathrooms and super comfortable beds. Downstairs there is a large living room, commercial kitchen with indoor and outdoor covered eating areas and and a laundry facility.  There is a huge private swimming pool as well! The locals are very nice and we enjoyed our daily cappuccino nearby. We had a wonderful stay, and thank you to Suzette for the stay, as it was the most beautiful and quiet countryside stay imaginable!"

  • "We had a great week at Villa San Lorenzo. From the moment we prepared for our stay, Suzette was a great host and attentive to our needs. Because of this, we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Villa San Lorenzo sits on a hillside near Castiglione del Lago, which can be seen from the porch. The large trees on the terrace, the unobstructed view around, the pool below as the entire estate immediately immerse you in the Dolce Vita unique to Tuscany and Umbria. The rooms are large, well-appointed and make it possible to accommodate large groups. The professional kitchen is a real plus and makes it possible to cook a wide range of different recipes. The pool below is easily accessible and will bring you the necessary freshness under the Italian sun. We spent a full week there with a group of 18 and will be happy to come back. Thank you Suzette!"

  • This villa was perfect for our family of 15 seniors (aged 60-72). The bedrooms — each with comfortable queen beds that can be converted to two singles -- have en-suite bathrooms and thick walls providing needed privacy. The common spaces were perfect and comfortable for family gatherings— we were even able to stream movies and watch together. A well stocked kitchen with a dining table that accommodated everyone allowed us to cook meals if we liked. Suzette is extremely responsive and arranged for chefs and a pasta cooking class (a particular highlight of our trip). Outside the villa was also spectacular. The views are extraordinary and there are plenty of outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the environment. (As we were there in October, we did not get to experience the pool). The nearby town is an enjoyable stroll away. Overall, we could not have been more pleased. We had a fantastic time.

  • This place was perfect for our family. This area is amazing and the house was really nice. Suzette recommended a private chef for a dinner and it was wonderful, we all loved it! I wish we would've come later in the Fall because it was so hot outside, but the little towns in the area where so quaint and beautiful. We had a great time, Thanks Suzette!!

  • Thanks to the Suzette prompt responsiveness and her wonderful nearby staff’s support, we successfully achieved our goal during our extended, 2-week stay to celebrate our mother’s milestone birthday together as a family. The charming, 140-year villa is located on a spacious and private, bucolic setting. We loved the kitchen which was large and well-stocked with modern appliances. We especially appreciated the local and friendly staff who were all excellent and very responsive to our needs. Suzette helped arrange for us to hire 2 private chefs who prepared and served us 2 sumptuous, traditional Italian dinners. The location offered good access to numerous day trips within an hour’s drive to historic sites in both Tuscany and Umbria. Suzette is the perfect host for this historic and spacious property!

  • A beautiful and immaculate Villa with stunning views and exceptionally comfortable accommodation. We loved the house, pool and the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. The lovely Italian housekeepers cooked the most delicious breakfast one morning and looked after us brilliantly. Thank you we will be back!
